The Winchester Gallery

From the early 1980s until the year 2000, The Winchester Gallery occupied the double-height space on the second floor of the WSA East Side building, now the BA Fine Art studio. This exhibition revisits selected exhibitions programmed into that space and some from when the Gallery first moved to its current location. The exhibition comprises new or recent work by thirty solo exhibitors from the original programme, and an array of fifteen gallery models housing retrospective maquettes or re-imaginings of large-scale site-specific installations from the time. The show has been curated by John Gillett, who from 1985 until 2008 was Director of The Winchester Gallery.
